Jo has experience with Legal Aid South Africa at the Bellville office for more than four years. Jo has gained experience in both the Civil and Criminal Department of Legal Aid and spent time in Criminal, Civil, Juvenile, and Children’s Court. She worked full time whilst studying her LLB as well as being an active member of her complex’s body corporate.


Jo is an avid captain of an action netball team that is involved in prison ministry at her church as well as various other community projects. She is dependable and has good time management skills. She uses a creative approach to problem-solving and is always eager to learn. She has a great deal of life experience, is exceptionally hard-working, and is able to work as part of a team or individually. She is honest, reliable, motivated, and organised. Her colleagues describe her as friendly, humble, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

She is driven, passionate, and great at problem-solving and has extremely good communication skills. Her interests currently lie in conveyancing, family law, civil and criminal litigation, wills and estates, evictions, Human Rights as well as Constitutional Law. Jo is a general practitioner.
